Mikes feature 2011

Name: Michael Rozendahl

Location: Newark, CA

Make/Model: 1998 Chevy S10 ext cab

Build story (beginning to present): I bought the truck 4 years ago with a blown head gasket for 200 dollars. I fixed the original 2.2l and then I got the itch and it’s been uphill since then, bagged the front then the rear…and I still wasn’t low enough. So I decided to sack up and cut it up, now its bodied on 20’s (its set up to lay a 22).

Wheels/Tires: Zenitti legends 20x8.5 wrapped in 245/35r20 Nexun N3000

Suspension: Slam specialties RE7 all the way around with SMC 3/8 valves and 3/8 air line on 5 gallons. Front- Thorbecke brothers upper control arms, ART lower arms with ART shock mounts, frame notched for tie rods. Rear- Modified KP 6link with custom made rear cantilever bars.

Body Mods: I like my trucks like my women fully shaved. 3-inch body drop. Sonoma front-end swap, stepside bed swap w/ side markers and LEDS in the gate. Full sheet metal bed (soon to have custom wood bed floor). 2 inch steel cowl hood, aftermarket pop-up moon/sunroof.

Interior: Painted Stock interior, custom gauges and cluster, custom bezel with air ride gauges. Cavalier seats lowered 2.25 inches. B&M hammer shifter. Full interior soon to come.

Engine/performance: 350ci Small block Chevy, bored .020 over with eldabrock rpm performer heads, rpm performer cam, eldabrock roller lifters and rockers, Holley 750 dp carb, Summit billet distributor with ignition box, fluidyne balancer, CSR electric water pump, March Performance serpentine belt kit. Ceramic-coated Sanderson headers, custom aluminum valve covers, aluminum 2-core/ 1-inch core radiator, Volvo Electric fan, and 150-amp alternator.

Transmission/drivetrain: Built TH350 with shift kit, B&M Tork master 2400stall, B&M hammer shifter, Stock S10 rear end with 3.08 ratio.

Audio: Kenwood Kvt-717 in dash monitor, Polk audio components, and 2 JL W3 12’s in custom box.

Misc: complete aftermarket-wiring harness by EZ Wiring, power windows and alarm.

Special thanks: First, my dad for getting me the truck for dirt cheap, my lady for her support and dealing with late nights and long hours working on the truck. Mom and dad for the support to finish it. Sean nullmeyer for the years of work on the truck without him the truck wouldn’t be where it is. Tom Stavropoulos and Kevin Klein for all the wiring help, without them I would probably have burnt it to the ground..haha. Christian Melendez for the bodywork, god knows I shouldn’t be doing it, haha. Nick Germano at Outkast Kustoms, everyone who has helped me out on this build over the years.

Feature shot by: Ricky R.
