Carmans Nissan feature 2011

Name: Carmen Rivello

Make/Model: nissan hardbody

shop: New millennium rods and kustoms

build story(beginning to present): Bought the truck of a guy with intentions of just doing a couple things and cruising it... that of course changed. started with the suspension, installing new parts and fixing items that needed to be adressed. then onto the body bods which took the longest, alot of hours went into shaping the body the way i wanted, hand molded corners, shaved everything, and as you can see the bed modifications. i already knew what i wanted out of the interior so that was the easy part, and the rest is history. thats pretty much it, had fun with the build and greatly appreciate everyone who had a hand in it.

Wheels/Tires: 18" titan wheels powder coated black

Suspension: 4 link rear, tubular control arms up front, slam bags all the way around and smc valves

Body Mods.: stock floor body drop, shaved everything, paint

Interior: 94 pathfinder dash, custom door panels, everything wrapped and stitched in black leather

Engine/Performance: rebuilt stock z24, nothing crazy just enough to ride low and slow...

Misc.: memphis 10s and infinity components powered by an alpine amp set up.

Special Thanks: want to thank anyone who was part of this build, in particular Kris Koehler at tops and trim for the interior work, Edddie, Brian, and of course my family.

Special thanks: First, my dad for getting me the truck for dirt cheap, my lady for her support and dealing with late nights and long hours working on the truck. Mom and dad for the support to finish it. Sean nullmeyer for the years of work on the truck without him the truck wouldn’t be where it is. Tom Stavropoulos and Kevin Klein for all the wiring help, without them I would probably have burnt it to the ground..haha. build story(beginning to present): Bought the car straight from a dealership in 2009 and after driving the car for a 1,000 miles decided to make the car better. It started out with just doing rims and tint. Then one day I was sitting at a buddies house and we decided it would be cool to bag something this new, so we did. We also thought it would be awesome to do because not many people out there have a 2008 bagged Impala. Ever since then I have just been trying to do things every year.

Give a story from beginning to present of the build of the vehicle: I got the truck in 1995, I redid the truck eight times. When I started building the truck they didn't make anything for it, everything had to be custom made. with it being a six lug, I didn't have a good selection of wheels, especially any that would tuck. My truck got shot for three full layouts, it made cover of Tailgate and a lay out. Truckin Mag. also shot it in 2003. 2004 I was talked into redoing it, I regretted that the whole time. It went to six shops, every shop told me they could do it. Well the only shop that proved there self was "Low Budget Customs". They finished the bodydrop and did the full sheet metal interior. Then I decided to be the first mistu done on twenty two's, and that was a task in its self. "Low Budget Customs" rebuilt my front suspension and i had rear-end shortened four inches. I also had it swapped over to a five lug. I work at a body shop. "Perdues Paint and Body". So I did most of the custom body work, and I also painted it, with the help of Mike Prince at "Pete's Crazy Paint".

Give a story from beginning to present of the build of the vehicle:
In October of 2001, I moved home from Kansas. Three after arriving, my 1991 honda accord was stolen from my apartment complex parking lot. After several months of fighting with the insurance company (Don’t let a geico fool you into wasting 15 minutes of your life), I was given enough money to purchase the civic. In those four months, I acquired a hood, 18 inch ADR racing wheels, 18 inch tires, coil over springs, catback exhaust, and cold air intake. The day I bought the car, all items were installed. A week later, I was hit by a drunk driver. The insurance paid out enough to buy a full body kit and a paint job. A week before going to the paint shop, a friend borrowed the car, remote started it while in gear, and smashed it into a 2002 subaru outback. After fixing the damage, it finally made it to the paint booth. Two weeks later, went to NOPI and took first in its class. The car has been redone five times since and will probably never have any other major changes.
